Managed Audit Program


Taxpayers are encouraged to participate in the Department's Managed Audit Program. This program is designed to allow a taxpayer and the Department to coordinate efforts of a self-review by the taxpayer for sales and use tax. This coordinated effort is demonstrated by a signed agreement of both parties which sets forth the parameters of the self review. The Department upon completion of the taxpayer's self examination will review the taxpayer's analysis and make any adjustments necessary.

 

Previous participants in the Managed Audit program have found this program to be beneficial. The Managed Audit program is seen as another tool for taxpayers and the Department to work jointly in facilitating the review of sales and use tax liability or refunds.
